11-Aug-2006 Try Bellingham, for 1 to 2 bed room and a bath or two apartments for around $500-600, if this is what you are looking for. Auburn, Belleview or Tacoma have beautiful town houses and duplex but you must be prepared for higher rents.
But you can shop around if you have time. View Post

Hi Robert,
Did you find any?
I know of a home being vacated in my neighborhood.
Do you want me to check with them?

17-Aug-2006 Hey rjgopal1,
You can't ask for more.
Just move in at the first chance.
Temperatures rarely beat 68 degrees F. and the rents aren't too high too, despite being the 4th or 5th largest city in US.
You will easily find people from your state here thanx to the diverse culture. You will never be bored in Houston.
Hope you will enjoy Houston View Post

If you don't mind a few dollars, quickest way to a rented home is through a real estate agent. I think you will have a handful of them here. View Post

I am told that I need to have a new driver's license here? My car is registered in Denver. So I have the driver's license from Denver itself. Once decided to relocate to here, I may need to go for a car registration for longer stay as does other states. But I request someone to guide me on this.
Thanks for all the valuable inputs till now. View Post

19-Aug-2006 I was watching all that was going on here. It depends on where you want to live and where you work, and the commuting time acceptable to you, rjgopal1.
Secondly, if the employer is providing you accommodation, this question arises in the last. But take it from me, you can be happy wherever you are in Houston. View Post
